Caramel is a delicious treat that can be enjoyed in so many ways. It can be made into candy and can be used to cover apples and flavor ice cream. Caramel can even be used as a topping for a sundae. Praline’s invites you and your family to come to the location closest to you on Wednesday, April 5 to enjoy a delicious sundae or cone in honor of National Caramel Day.
In the 17th century, people began using caramelized sugar and water to make candy. Those treats were very inexpensive to make. Around 1850, people began adding milk and a fat to the cooked sugar-water mixture after discovering that this resulted in a soft, chewy candy. Caramel candies soon became popular. Today, the deliciousness of caramel is celebrated every year on April 5.
There are several ways to enjoy caramel at Praline’s on National Caramel Day. You can enjoy a sundae or cone with scoops of delicious ice cream with caramel.
